Sunday Dialogue LXVIII

Journer: What is “grace” all about?

Nez: My student* said, “Man [sic] is born broken. He lives by mending. The grace of God is glue.”

Journer: What does “glue” mean here?

Nez: There is for us one creation, one universe, one galaxy, one planet. No matter how much it all feels like it’s coming apart – including our own broken lives – it’s all being reunited moment by moment.

That picture of "China at the Beach" is very powerful to me. I've saved several pictures (one of a refugee camp) where God's huddled masses are yearning to be free. These masses ARE free and look how they are huddled together.
