There is . . . a way out. . . . It will come from the much derided moderate Muslims, tolerant Jews and humble Christians [and 1.4 billion Hindus and Buddhists]. . . . Fundamen-talism is not the only valid form of faith, and to say it is, is the great lie of our time. ~Andrew Sullivan, “When Not Seeing Is Believing,” Time magazine, 10/9/06
How do we deal with fundamentalism, an underlying contradiction to the future of the earth community? If I were Pope, I’d write and preach more about fundamentalism than about secularism. ~jpc
O that religion brought unity and peace on earth. Namaste.

I enjoy your posts day by day, but...
sorry, John, my friend, I have to disagree with you on this one, bcause I'm assuming you agree with Mr. Sullivan.
Your reflection for Wed. reminds me of Anthony De Mello's comment in AWARENESS. "The fanaticism of a sincere believer causes more evil than the united effort of 200 rogues. It is terrifying to see what the sincere believer will do because they think they know."
May I be more AWARE of that small mind knowing when I serve it up in my own life. Thanks again for all your good work. SM
