Twenty years ago, my sister gave me the Jung plaque above my desk. One translation is "Invoked or not invoked, God is present." It was above the front door to his house and on his tombstone. The man knew the power of symbol and the fundamental reality of existence. My translation: "Invoked or not, Spirit is always already present." ~jpc

Thank you, JOhn, for using the quote from JUng. I had Cynthia do it in caligraphy for us, and it hangs right inside the front door.
I like your idea of Spirit being ever present. In HEART OF CHRISTIANITY Borg says we are wrapped around in Spirit, and in moments of grace we find thin places where we and the Spirit are one. I can truly relate to that image.
